ON Dec 31, 2020, while celebrating new years Even, I was finalizing this mixtape while I was introducing my boy Legacy to MF DOOM and playing my favorite track, "GAZILLION EAR". By the time the track finished playing, it was already Jan 1st 2021; I'm on IG about to show him DOOMS Instagram, before that happened, my feed showed that he was dead on Oct 31st (but the news was realeased on Jan 1st).
I originally put this together to pay homage to the fact that my former music group used to drop songs over J Dilla and METAL FINGERS beats if it weren't my beats. The album cover was to acknowledge the relation between China and the Coronavirus pandemic that Thanos snapped the world. These purposes still remained the same. Except instead of just acknowledging the life and legacy of J Dilla, it was to now acknowledge the life and legacy of Hip-Hop's ultimate super villain. This mixtape means a lot to me. Putting this together was also a way to release unreleased tracks Louieville Slugga and I worked on in 2010.
